Yesterday, I had the good fortune to meet a retired Broadway actress who spent last summer in Ireland. She reports that, in many ways, the Irish are more troubled by Trump’s presence in the world than we are ourselves.
What’s at stake here is what could be summarized as “fair play.” The Irish aren’t too happy to see it disappear from the United States.
What’s happening to Liz Cheney is a fabulous example. Cheney says, “Their allegations do not reflect a review of the actual evidence, and are a malicious and cowardly assault on the truth. No reputable lawyer, legislator or judge would take this seriously.”
I guess we’re about to find out. Predictably, House Republicans have caved in to Trump and now support his vendetta against Cheney.

Why History Professors Are Liberals
The point made here is hotly contested.
Fox News will tell you that college professors were indoctrinated into progressivism when they were in college, and they’re simply passing all this down the line. This is why, they’ll go on to explain, that college is an evil force in our society, as it cranks out liberals.
FWIW, I agree with the commenter at the bottom. One finds a few intelligent and well-educated people in the MAGA crowd, very few. And the most obvious reason for this is that bright people can see through the layers upon layers of lies and criminality that emanate from Trump every hour of the day.
Occam’s Razor explains this very nicely to me.

Solar Flowers
Two things:
1) As far as I’m aware, these “Solar Flowers” exist nowhere on Earth. They’re certainly not in Los Angeles.
2) Engineers (and anyone with IQ of a turnip) are not split as their value; they have none.
