It’s the Nature of Most People to Want to Work Hard
At left is something from social media. Is it popular? Probably. Is it largely true? Most definitely not.
Sure, there are people who want to sit around idle, but most people are self-respecting and decent, and that means living productive and honest lives.
I know that the meme fits in with the narrative that immigrants are “takers” from white society, but anyone who lives in a region of the country with folks from Central America sees instantly that these people virtually never stop in whatever job they happen to hold: gardening, produce harvesting, childcare, construction, etc.
I worked some pretty intense hours in my day, and even I’m impressed.
