It’s extraordinary when you come across a meme like this one and you realize how stupid some people are.
Literally every one of us (post-puberty) had the same experience. We woke up one morning, strangely attracted, as if by magic, to a certain sex. For about 96% of males, that means girls.
The point of the meme here, I guess, is that people choose their sexuality. I really wouldn’t have a huge problem with that were it not for the fact that literally none of us has had that experience.
I like what Jodie Foster said recently: “Being gay and being left-handed are strangely alike, in that some of us are, most of us aren’t, and no one really knows why.”
It is for this reason that homophobia is strictly for idiots. It makes no more sense that hating left-handed people.
Wind contributes about 12% of the U.S. grid mix, though it’s over 70% in some of the plains states.

We often talk about the “externalities” of fossil fuels, normally referring to things like lung disease, climate change, ocean acidification, and so forth. But we sometimes forget about people with their bodies blown to bits.
It’s incorrect to say that “liberals are furious” on this matter. We’re deeply disappointed that about one-third of our population is a blend of greedy pigs and hateful idiots.
I was on a Zoom call this morning with some people who were weighing in on this question: Is the damage caused by the Trump administration in terms of losing our claim to be a moral, democratic leader on this planet permanent, or can it be repaired over time?
We were unable to reach a consensus. Some said that the nation in the modern era is swinging as if on a pendulum. We had a gentleman and an extremely accomplished intellectual in the person of Obama, following by a despicable thug (Trump); the pendulum can swing back once more.
