From The New York Times:
President Trump’s inaugural address was a misleading assessment of the U.S. It has a growing economy, falling inflation, slowing illegal immigration, a record-breaking stock market, the lowest levels of violent crime in years and a military that has limited engagement in conflicts around the world.
This comes under the heading of “politics is what you can get away with.”  The majority of American voters, albeit a slim one, eagerly accepts Trump’s bald-faced lies, and, at this point, that’s all that matters.
We can only hope that this country will have any semblance of honesty and decency four years hence.

Keep in mind that 60% of Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck and are struggling to afford groceries.
