SolarPanelRecycling.com has opened its new recycling center focused on meeting increasing demand for the full recovery and reuse of solar equipment material.
The 300 MW center, located in Breckenridge, Texas, is owned and operated by the company.
The company says the facility is able to recover and recycle panel components that include silicon, glass and metals from decommissioned solar panels.
“As the world embraces the shift towards renewable energy sources, it’s imperative that we hold our industry to a higher standard than our oil and gas predecessors when it comes to environmental impact and recycling,” says Brett Henderson, CEO of SolarPanelRecycling.com.
“We simply cannot, as an industry, choose to landfill solar equipment all the while pushing for clean energy support. That’s why we provide a comprehensive solution for the lifecycle management of the entire solar energy system, ensuring that every single valuable resource has a second life.”
The latest facility is the fourth domestic processing and receiving plant in the company’s portfolio, joining two locations in North Carolina and one in Georgia.

Doubling Down
One of the many unique and disgusting features of today’s GOP is that they don’t back down when they make a mistake, regardless of how obvious and indefensible that mistake may be.

Nationalism
To paraphrase the late American historian Howard Zinn:
If you’re, say, Norway, and you don’t go around the world starting wars, patriotism and a sense of national pride is not a problem. If you’re the United States, with your imperialism and incredible military might, it’s a huge problem.
At left we see the ideas of two other historian/philosophers on the subject.

Offended By Trump Flags?
My personal reaction to Trump flags is more of pity than offense. Life is tough enough without being deprived of a moral compass and even a meager level of intelligence.
In any case, we see such displays in ever-decreasing numbers, as Trump’s approval rating continues to fall, due to the president’s cognitive decline and brazen criminality.
