A recent Pew Research Center survey, “How Americans View National, Local and Personal Energy Choices,” finds that there’s been a dip in support for wind and solar development since 2020.
Per the responses of approximately 8,700 U.S. adults, the share of those who support solar and wind expansion has dropped 12% and 11%, respectively, since 2020.
Interest in EV purchases are down as well, from a year ago.
Of those surveyed, 63% of Americans support the U.S. becoming carbon neutral by 2050, with 65% advocating doing so through renewables development. This mentality doesn’t extend to personal consumption, however, as only 25% of adults gave limiting their own carbon footprint a high priority.
The report further found that declines in support for renewables have been driven by Republicans and Republican-leaning independents, with 64% of the demographic favoring more solar panel farms, down 20 percentage points from 2020. When it came to wind, 56% of Republicans supported more projects, from 75% during the same period.
Over this same time period, views among Democrats and Democratic-leaning voters haven’t shifted much, with most supporting renewables development.

Is Ben Carson Simply a Liar?
As most high school-educated people know, the values of the Democrats and the Republicans flip-flopped in the 1920s, as Democratic Party took on the mantle of unions for the working class, human rights, immigration reform, and rights for women and blacks, while the Republicans stood for racial segregation and a growing chasm between rich and poor.
So, we need to ask: It is more likely that a person with a medical degree doesn’t know that, or that he’s a liar who’s hoping that you don’t that.

Our Appetite for Crap
What amazes me most about the decrepit state of the United States today is our citizen’s appetite for pure bull****.
This woman both loves Jesus and has risen to a career as a professional liar.
Wow!

Maybe Trump Is Achieving His Purpose
At left we see a theory that may explain why the Trump administration is doing such a terrible job at running the government, i.e., that the wellbeing of the country means nothing to them.
