FWIW, I’ve always agreed with Burger on this point. It’s hard not to.
I know you’ll find gun-nuts who claim that words like “militia” and “well-regulated” have different meanings today than they did in the late 18th Century, but do you know who’s not buying that? Warren Earl Burger, American attorney and jurist who served as the 15th chief justice of the United States from 1969 to 1986.
This country has real problems–ones that actually exist. Here, I mean things like poverty, child hunger, environmental collapse, lousy education, and the absence of affordable healthcare.
I tend to vote for the party that is at least attempting to deal with these.

I’m proud to be a dissenter of this regime of hate and ignorance, and I’ll go to my grave in precisely that fashion.
In the last couple of months, gas prices here have risen from ~$3.50/gallon to ~$5.40/gallon. That’s a 54% increase and it’s hit working class folks hard.
Liberals are not “losing their minds”; they simply have empathy for other people.
