FWIW, I don’t take the same tack. As a guy who’s done his fair share of tutoring young people in science, and who has also raised two kids, I’ve had to deal with the issue a great many times.
When someone wants me to tell them what happens when we die, I ask, “Do you want to know what scientists have learned about the universe as it applies here, or what the believers in an all-powerful God think? I’m happy to explain the ideas of both of of them.”
Normally, at this point, the kid (understandably) wants to change the subject, which is just fine with me.
China owns less than 1% of the 3.6% of U.S. farmland that is owned by foreign governments and investors.
Some would say:
Stealing their miniscule position is imperative.
Forget about World War 3, the Epstein files, and Trump’s criminal psychosis.
Let’s get on this, before their holdings grow to 0.04%.

I know there are people hoping to see human civilization destroy itself, to welcome in the apocalypse as forecast in the book of Revelation. In fact, one of my co-coaches in the days our kids played soccer had this precise belief.
When I explained that my life’s work was to halt the destruction of human society, he chastised me: “Oh no Craig! The sooner life on Earth comes to an end, the sooner Christ will return to summon us all to Heaven!”
I wasn’t impressed with his thinking.
… All this is coming to a head.
