You and I may agree with the meme here, but let’s be real: You could replace “Trump” with “Biden” and the MAGA crowd would be just as adamant.

What this means is that, though we talk about independent voters, they exist in extremely small numbers, if they exist at all.

We’re told that there are people who on the fence about Biden because he’s too old.  I’m unconvinced, reminded of the old joke:

To be on the fence in this case is like being asked to choose between two dishes on a cross-country flight, chicken, or a plate of dogs**t, infused with shards of broken glass, and then to ask how the chicken is prepared.

Are There Really Any “Independent Voters?”

It’s hard to imagine how certain politicians can lose in the 2026 midterms, even with “the kiss of death” (Trump’s endorsement).

He’s a physician and retired admiral.

If for some horrible reason I lived in a town in that district, perhaps called Buzzardsbreath, TX, I would probably vote for him myself, even with Trump’s endorsement.

A Metaphor on the Natural Forces that Support Human Life on Earth

I met a guy yesterday you told me, “We live on this planet at the generosity of the forces of nature.  These privileges can be withdrawn at any time, and without notice.”

I thought that was clever.
