ACORE Statement on Meta’s Nuclear Energy Announcement Today

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The following is a statement from Ray Long, President and CEO of ACORE, on Meta’s landmark nuclear energy announcement today.

“ACORE is thrilled to see this major announcement from our member company, Meta, on its agreements with Vistra, Oklo, and TerraPower to unlock up to 6.6 GW of nuclear energy capacity by 2035. As the U.S. faces rapid electricity demand growth, agreements like these demonstrate how private sector leadership can catalyze new energy solutions and reinforce grid reliability for all. These projects will deliver firm, carbon-free electricity while speeding the deployment of advanced reactor technologies, supporting thousands of jobs in the U.S., and fortifying the grid,” said President and CEO Ray Long.

Isn’t it astonishing we have people eligible to vote do not even register?

There was a time in U.S. history when the two parties were fairly close to one another politically, and so perhaps in those days, voter apathy could have been excused.

But now we have one entire party idolizing a criminal sociopath, while spreading torrents of disinformation.

At left is a photo of Steve Allen, an American personality whose television career spanned several decades in 20th Century. Young people who missed him may want to check him out on YouTube via the link above.

His blend of wit and intelligence is a reminder of who and what this country was–up until quite recently.

Try to imagine how Donald Trump would have been regarded in era of this type of quality education and sophistication. Think of how the American people would respond to the idea that liberals are leading our country into communism.

Sometimes my eyes well up with tears when I think about our nation’s devolution into hatred and ignorance.
