ACORE Statement on House Passage of Reconciliation Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The following is a statement from Ray Long, President and CEO of the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), following House passage of the reconciliation bill:

“Today’s vote represents a missed opportunity to sustain momentum towards strengthening American energy security, lowering energy costs for families and businesses, and unlocking hundreds of thousands of new, good-paying jobs across the country.

“We are in a global race – not just for clean energy leadership, but for dominance in the technologies that will define the future, including artificial intelligence. China is aggressively investing in clean energy and digital infrastructure because they understand that energy security and economic competitiveness go hand in hand. This bill should have matched that urgency.

“Despite this setback, the clean energy industry remains committed to building the future. We’re already driving more than $300 billion in private investment, delivering reliable power, and creating jobs in every region of the country. Stable tax policies would have allowed us to do even more.

“We’re deeply grateful to the members of Congress who stood up for American innovation, affordability, and energy security. And we will continue to work with leaders on both sides of the aisle who believe that our energy strategy must include every tool we have – wind, solar, storage, and all technologies that move our country forward.”

How Much Further Does the Trust of the American People Extend?

Published

Today we had another “assassination attempt.”

Is it the fourth or the fifth?  I lost track after his ear grew back.

Eventually, after perhaps 20 or 30, even the most dimwitted American will recognize that he’s been played.

Trump is a man of God like I’m a bald eagle.

Climate Change: What to Believe?

Published

I’ve often wondered why people like this German woman, an ultra-right-wing politician with no more training in this subject than my gardener, is taken more seriously than the many thousands of scientists who have been studying climate physics for all their adult lives.

And Germany? Anti-science?

Yes, this sect is minor, but how does it exist at all?
