If the question at left were posed to me, I would respond: love one another.
Below is the seal of the school I attended as a boy. The motto in ancient Greek, close to the bottom, is pronounced “fuh-LAY-ta uh-LAY-loose,” and translates into English as exactly that–love one another.
This concept sits at the basis of Quakerism, the principle upon which the Willliam Penn Charter School (“PC”) in Philadelphia was founded in 1689. We are all equal. We all share “personhood.”
To most PC graduates, it’s weird when we hear, for instance, that the Christians and the Muslims or that the Sunnis and the Shiites “don’t get along.” Can’t we just knock off this mean and childish behavior? Our common humanity sits right in front of our noses.
The cave drawings at Lascaux that were made 40,000 years ago reveal something very important. We today are no different from the people living at that time in any way that is fundamental or basic. We all love our children, and we all gaze at the sky, contemplating the wonders of the universe.
Harming each other is the repellant to our minds.

“Proud Republicans” Want the MN Governor in Prison
Well, he hasn’t been charged with a crime, let alone convicted.
But if the wealthiest man in the world says he belongs in prison, so be it. After all, this is the United States in 2026.
Maybe Musk can have him sent to the electric chair. That would make the “Proud Republicans” very happy, and quite proud to be patriotic Americans, wouldn’t it?

Social Justice
Remarkably, there are still people on this Earth who agree with Mr. Hayek. It appeared that their numbers were thinning out, until Donald Trump came along and gave straight white Christian men permission to be the most disgusting people imaginable.
Social justice brought us the end of the divine right of kings and slavery; it brought us the Age of Reason and the incorporation of science into policymaking.
Even the most despicable Americans in the most backwater parts of the United States will face steep consequences if they lynch a black man, and don’t forget that lynching in the Deep South was as popular as baseball only 100 years ago.

Is It True? Who Cares?
One of the key features of Trumpism is that facts don’t matter–and this includes facts that members of the MAGA base experience every time they go to the grocery store or fill up their gas tank.
If Trump or one of his minions says it, it must be true, regardless of how blatantly false it is.
