The thought expressed here was very definitely part of the American zeitgeist at the time (mid-20th Century), but it has largely fallen out of favor since then.
As a friend told me probably 30 years ago, the motto of the Republican party might as well be: “I’ve got mine. Go to hell.”
Trump should fire Pete Hegseth?
Oh sure. If you’re Trump, Hegseth is the perfect leader of the Pentagon. He’s lawless, stupid, cruel, misogynistic, and racist. No one could possibly match Trump’s values with any greater precision.
We won’t know how much damage Trump has done to our county, its people, the world in general, until Trump leaves office.
That’s just one more good reason to make this happen soon.

American voters are being told that progressives hate America.
This type of crap may have some level of acceptance among our least intelligent voters, but fortunately, they’re nowhere near the majority.
