Recent surveys suggest that about 60% of Americans disapprove of the Trump administration. But does this translate into a “hatred” of our country?
Perhaps in a few cases. But at least 95% of this 60% would say that, though we’re disgusted and angry, we remain committed to fixing this situation, expelling traitors, while restoring rule of law, democracy, and other traditional American values.
As shown here, we live in a society that glorifies the very worst traits of the human animal and seems to be on a rocket ride to its own destruction.
Ignorance has terrific value to the billionaire class. If you’re filthy rich, you really don’t want a nation full of people learning that pure market capitalism is, by its very nature, exploitative, or that the consumption of fossil fuels is destroying our planet’s capacity to support life.
The Trump administration and congressional Republicans are exceptionally good at focusing the MAGA base on problems that don’t exist.
What bathrooms should trans people use? Well, before we work ourselves into a frenzy, let’s ask ourselves if this is an issue that is really harming the good people of this nation.
Keep in mind that 60% of Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck and are struggling to afford groceries.
