I just met a senior executive at HopSkipDrive, an organization with an Uber-like business model, but one that focuses on providing a safe, reliable alternative school transportation solution. My new friend says that the typical schoolchild might be in foster care, or have some disability that would make him ineligible for the “yellow bus.”
He told me that he feels that he’s making a difference by getting kids to school who otherwise would be missing that opportunity. I agreed and added encouragement in that he’s helping to buck the trend in the United States whereby the American educational system becomes less valuable with each passing year.
As we’re all aware, humankind carries around a cognitive bias in the form of seeking out information that confirms what we already believe, and the author of the meme at left has created a textbook example.
Each line conveys a deeply misleading concept about the political left.
Having said this, we live in a time in which disinformation surrounds us at every turn. It’s an industry, just like banking, IT, and manufacturing.
My favorite: “riots and chaos.” lol
If you still think that Trump is sane and an honest servant of the American people, even after all this, you have something profoundly wrong with you.
Haven’t we all wondered about this?
Obviously, there are limits to presidential power as set forth in the U.S. Constitution, which Trump is exceeding almost every day. But can he rename the U.S. Capitol the “Donald J. Trump Capitol Building?”
He holds himself on par with Washington and Lincoln. Can he put his name on their monuments?
