Earth Day is Monday, April 22! Since 1970, the annual event has brought us together to officially celebrate our home planet and take action to improve and protect the Earth.
If you’d like to explore options to come together with others in your community to celebrate or work in service, check out this handy map of events from earthday.org.

While Earth Day is a great opportunity to inspire collective action, we believe that protecting Earth’s natural resources for future generations requires all hands on deck, every day of the year.
Our ability to eliminate carbon pollution, confront extreme weather, and leave a safer and healthier world for our children and grandchildren depends on just how many of us show up. This Earth Day, the best way to celebrate is by rolling up your sleeves, taking action in your community, and playing your part in the Clean Energy Generation!
Through the Clean Energy Generation movement, we are coming together to create healthier communities and a more secure and sustainable environment. No matter your age, income, zip code, or abilities, you can play a role. You don’t have to have the answers, learning more is a great way to start. Join us, and we’ll share ideas, resources, tools, and practices to show how we can all be part of the transformation, every day of the year.

Renewable Energy
Nixon and Trump
These were some dark days in U.S. history, but they seem bright and shiny in comparison to today.
Nixon didn’t storm the Capitol in an attempt to overthrow the government, nor did he hand out pardons for cash.

John Eastman, One of Trump’s Attorney Henchmen in an Attempt to Overthrow the U.S. Government, Is Disbarred
In April of this year, the California Supreme Court disbarred attorney John Charles Eastman. This after the State Bar Court Review Department in July 2025 affirmed the findings of the State Bar Court Hearing Department’s March 2024 recommendation, which found Eastman culpable of 10 out of 11 charges for egregious and deceitful conduct and recommended his disbarment.
Apparently, certain bodies within the United States are still trying to maintain justice here in America.

Statement on FERC Actions Regarding Large Load Interconnection from ACORE President and CEO Ray Long
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Thank you to Chairman Swett and the Commissioners of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for setting the path forward for creating greater clarity and efficiency, protecting consumers, and providing greater cost transparency for the interconnection of large loads to the grid while also recognizing the unique features of each region. The United States is experiencing historic growth in electricity demand, and FERC’s ction to ensure that every regional grid operator sets fair rules for connecting large loads represents a constructive step toward ensuring the electric grid is prepared for tomorrow’s demand.
We also appreciate the Commissioners ensuring that grid operators identify all opportunities to use advanced transmission technologies to reduce the costs to upgrade our electricity transmission system.
ACORE and our members look forward to working with FERC and other federal partners on further improvements to load and generator interconnection, additional steps on deploying advanced technologies, and delivering critical transmission expansion.
