We’ve all come across the content of the meme here many times.  Why don’t we tax mega-churches where their pastors live in palaces and their parishioners live in trailer parks?

The answer is not that we want to subsidize churches, but, paradoxically, it’s the opposite; we want them as distantly separated from matters of state as possible.  There is a concept that came out of a Supreme Court case called “excessive entanglement (between church and state),” by forcing religious organizations to prepare, file, and legally defend their tax returns would result in enmeshing them with our secular government.

Stealing their miniscule position is imperative.

Forget about World War 3, the Epstein files, and Trump’s criminal psychosis.

Let’s get on this, before their holdings grow to 0.04%.

I know there are people hoping to see human civilization destroy itself, to welcome in the apocalypse as forecast in the book of Revelation.  In fact, one of my co-coaches in the days our kids played soccer had this precise belief.

When I explained that my life’s work was to halt the destruction of human society, he chastised me: “Oh no Craig!  The sooner life on Earth comes to an end, the sooner Christ will return to summon us all to Heaven!”

I wasn’t impressed with his thinking.
