The meme here is powerful, but there is no evidence that such a moment will actually arrive.
Of course, it’s possible that humankind will find itself on the precipice of some sort of collapse, perhaps, via environmental decay, and there will be a massive movement uniting all the peoples of Earth.
Uncountable works of science fiction have been based on this premise. Could happen.
Very few people object to Donald Trump on the basis that he’s a capitalist. All 340 million of us live in a capitalist country, one that has done just fine for itself over the last 250 years.
On the other hand, the vast majority of Americans reject Trump as a lifelong criminal, now sucking the life out of the common citizen, and throwing away our country’s former glory so as to further enrich himself.

IMO, the most important principle at stake here is the freedom of speech as guaranteed under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, a document that used to be held in very high regard.
