The position of many of today’s self-described “patriots” is offered at left. Apparently, the United States has reached a point at which we have to make a choice between:
a) being honest about our history and the mistakes we’ve made, and
b) teaching our kids to love their country.
Wisdom would suggest that lying to our kids is a bad idea, for the same reason that, as they say, honesty is the best policy. We’re rapidly becoming a nation of self-delusional lairs, and this is a truly terrible decision.
99% of this totally incorrect.
But hey, who cares, right? There’s a huge market for disinformation, and I’m sure you were handsomely paid.

I’ve always wondered what this means. Christian Science? But if you reject science and hand your diseases over to Jesus, why would you need health coverage in the first place?
The point made at left is an interesting one, but it raises the question: Would our NATO allies have participated in a useless and illegal war even if Trump hadn’t insulted, bullied, and threatened them with military invasion?
I doubt it.
