Without doubt, there are product brands whose customers do not want modernity, especially to the degree that “modernity” means “woke.”
As I told my mom when the scandal broke, I wouldn’t have associated Bud Light with anything even remotely woke, especially transsexuality. Wanna do that with cupcakes? Watercolor painting? Adopting kittens? Fine. Just don’t do it with low-quality beer, pick-up trucks, or cage fighting.
It may seem sad that about half of America has a set of beliefs that compel them to love Donald Trump and reject environmental science, but that’s the reality of the country in which we live.
The Consumers of Certain Products Are Definitely Not Progressive, and the Mustang May Be Among Them
One of the many unique and disgusting features of today’s GOP is that they don’t back down when they make a mistake, regardless of how obvious and indefensible that mistake may be.
To paraphrase the late American historian Howard Zinn:
If you’re, say, Norway, and you don’t go around the world starting wars, patriotism and a sense of national pride is not a problem. If you’re the United States, with your imperialism and incredible military might, it’s a huge problem.

My personal reaction to Trump flags is more of pity than offense. Life is tough enough without being deprived of a moral compass and even a meager level of intelligence.
In any case, we see such displays in ever-decreasing numbers, as Trump’s approval rating continues to fall, due to the president’s cognitive decline and brazen criminality.
