Did Xi Jinping actually say this? As much as I’d like to believe it, I can’t.

There is nothing noble about the man, and China has been trying to take over the world for the last 6000 years.

To their credit, however, they have used economic pressure rather than military force, and that appears to be winning the day.

Of course, Trump’s tariffs are making China’s job that much easier, as their effects on world trade continues to make the United States increasingly irrelevant.

If left unchecked, the current presidential administration will render America as powerless as Bolivia in world economics.

“Triggering” Liberals

Published

on

Liberals, unless they’re extremely unintelligent, are not “triggered” by Trump supporters who want to burn the U.S. Constitution and make a criminal lunatic the first king of America.

We may be upset that the sociopath is doing his damnedest to destroy 250 years of liberty and freedom, but “triggered” is the wrong word, as it implies an irrational, normally drug-fueled reaction to a certain stimulus.

We are doing everything in our power to prevent the end of the U.S. as it has been known over the centuries, but caving in to insanity is not part of the plan.

And, to be frank, I (age 71) don’t have the strength left in me to fight the way George Washington did in 1776 when he was 44.  A big part of what I do is going to be blogging and perhaps standing with a “no kings” sign at an occasional rally.

I would say that there is large variety of types of freedom, and that freedom itself is relative.  No one is absolutely free; for instance, no one is free from eventual death.

Things that make people relatively free includes riches, health, peace of mind, wonderful interpersonal relationships, and living under a government that does not restrict speech or personal movement.

Incompetence? Not Really

Published

Incompetence isn’t actually the issue with Trump.

Imagine for an instant that the president was paid $100 billion per year to run this country, and that he was given a $50 billion annual merit-based bonus if his key statistics were up that measured how well the country was doing in terms of the quality of Americans’ lives. Do you think he’d be starting useless and illegal wars that drive up consumer prices?  Destroying the educational system and the environment?

Not for a millisecond.
