There are people living around you and me who believe that George Soros, a 95-year-old liberal philanthropist, orchestrated things like the seven-million person “No Kings” march, and all the other anti-Trump sentiment that most of us feel here in the United States.

The author of the meme at left apparently believes that and wants to do an end-run around due process (charging him with a crime, trying him in a court of law, and convicting him), and simply throw him in prison.

I defy anyone to name another country on Earth that is home to people as stupid as this.

I have such respect for Pascal that I considered naming our son after him.  (My wife wasn’t having it. Maybe if we lived in France?)

Pascal made important contributions to both math and physics but he’s perhaps best known for his philosophic “wager,” that it makes sense to believe in God, since if He exists, you’ll be very glad you did, and if He doesn’t, you haven’t lost anything.  I counter that this is not how we accept or reject religious tenets.
