It would be great to see the United States make substantial investments in climate change mitigation, and certainly the Inflation Reduction Act is an excellent start here.

Even better would be our nation’s leading the way towards a broad, international coalition in this space. If we can’t help to solve this problem for highly population developing countries, this planet will bake itself over the next couple of decades.

The whole world is hoping desperately that the United States can recover from the plunge it’s taken into hatred and ignorance.

When and if this happens, Planned Parenthood will resume helping tens of millions of girls and women with their reproductive health, including preventing unwanted pregnancies.

In an average month, I meet probably five people who traveled here from another country.  Unless there is a good reason to avoid the topic, I like to ask how Trump is regarded at home.

Universally, the answer that Trump is a despicable joke. I use the word “universally” in the literal sense; I’ve yet to speak with someone who has anything good to say about the current U.S. president.
