ACORE Statement on Department of Interior Lifting Empire Wind 1 Project Stop-Work Order
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) issued the following statement from ACORE President and CEO Ray Long after the Department of the Interior lifted its April 16, 2025, stop-work order that halted offshore construction for the Empire Wind 1 project (15-30 miles south of Long Island):
“This is great news for the 1,500 workers who can now put their hard hats back on and finish building this project. We applaud President Trump for reversing the stop-work order and allowing the project to move forward, and Governor Hochul for working collaboratively with the Administration on this important project. Empire Wind 1 benefits consumers, creates jobs, and adds to the reliability of the electric system.”
“We need an all-of-the-above energy strategy – that includes all energy technologies – to meet rising demand and ensure American energy dominance. Lifting the stop-work order respects that this project is fully permitted, capitalized, and under construction, delivering new infrastructure to meet growing electricity demand. The Trump administration’s approach of reducing unnecessary government red-tape and bureaucratic processes that have historically hampered infrastructure development is desperately needed to create American jobs and ensure energy dominance.”

What Trump Is Actually Doing
With each passing day, there are fewer and fewer American voters who believe the bullshit at left.
Is Trump working hard to stay out of prison? Enrich himself and his family? Of course.
Could be possibly care less about anything else? Obviously not.

Flagging Tourism to the United States
What’s the thought process of people in the rest of the developed world when it comes to visiting the U.S.?
Conversely, would you or I want to visit some country with a deeply corrupt regime that is systematically committing atrocities all around the globe, and whose leader is lining his pockets?
I’m glad I don’t own a resort in New England that counts on a flow of visitors from Canada. If I were a Canadian, I’d be thinking I’d rather visit hell.

The Huge Herd of RINOs in Congress
Part of the challenge facing Trump is that a number of congressional Republican has reached the limit of their tolerance for the lies, the reckless stupidity, and the criminal corruption.
Since they are abandoning the sociopath en masse, that makes them, in Trump’s mind, RINOs (Republicans in name only).
It’s too soon to see where all of this is going to settle out, but God willing, it looks like the GOP may be headed back towards some level of normalcy in terms of honesty and sanity.
