SolarBank has entered into a loan agreement with Seminole Financial Services for an initial $2.6 million construction to mini-perm loan that is slated to be used for completing construction of the 3.79 MW Geddes Project, located in upstate New York.

The company will own and operate the project, expected to begin production later this year.

The project, built over a closed landfill, will be operated as a community solar project once complete.

I know there are people hoping to see human civilization destroy itself, to welcome in the apocalypse as forecast in the book of Revelation. In fact, one of my co-coaches in the days our kids played soccer had this precise belief.

When I explained that my life’s work was to halt the destruction of human society, he chastised me: “Oh no Craig! The sooner life on Earth comes to an end, the sooner Christ will return to summon us all to Heaven!”

I wasn’t impressed with his thinking.
