Those authoring bills that would place bans on abortion are well aware that they’re causing “lives of hardship,” but they simply don’t care. They’ll do anything for while you’re in the womb, but absolutely nothing once you’re out.
Before the current configuration of the U.S. Supreme Court was formed largely by Donald Trump, it had ruled that women have rights of autonomy to their own bodies, a concept that aligns with the thinking of the vast majority of Americans.
As shown here, we live in a society that glorifies the very worst traits of the human animal and seems to be on a rocket ride to its own destruction.
Ignorance has terrific value to the billionaire class. If you’re filthy rich, you really don’t want a nation full of people learning that pure market capitalism is, by its very nature, exploitative, or that the consumption of fossil fuels is destroying our planet’s capacity to support life.
The Trump administration and congressional Republicans are exceptionally good at focusing the MAGA base on problems that don’t exist.
What bathrooms should trans people use? Well, before we work ourselves into a frenzy, let’s ask ourselves if this is an issue that is really harming the good people of this nation.
Keep in mind that 60% of Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck and are struggling to afford groceries.
