Thomas Sowell is not an idiot, and thus he must know that no one wants a social order in which everyone’s lives turn out the same. Does anyone truly believe that drug addicts, morons, and lazy slobs should enjoy the same fruits of prosperity as temperate and diligent people?

I just met a guy who was headed for the beach to take a swim in the ocean, which I found impressive, given that the water in Santa Barbara is 59 degrees F.
“My ocean-swimming days are over,” I told him.
“Oh, it gets worse,” he relied. “Because of climate change, the waters south of here are too hot for the sharks, so they’re moving north.”
Holy crap.
Occasionally we see signs of integrity from politicians.
What a breath of fresh air.
Yes, but this would have hurt the billionaires, and that can never happen in our society.
