Duke Energy is implementing PowerPair, a one-time, incentive-based pilot program for installing home solar generation with BESS in its Carolinas and Progress service areas in North Carolina.

The program is designed to help make home solar plus battery systems more affordable for customers by offering up to $9,000 in incentives. Total incentive is based on the type of solar array and battery installed.

“PowerPair gives Duke Energy an added tool to provide more reliability to solar energy which in turn benefits all customers as North Carolina grows in population,” says Lon Huber, Duke Energy senior vice president, Pricing and Customer Solutions. “And by participating, customers are helping to support the state’s clean energy goals.”

The company received approval from the North Carolinas Utility Commission for the program in January.

ICE in Minneapolis

I met a woman from Minneapolis this morning, appeared to be in her 70s, grandmother of six, who was in town for an annual family gathering.  I mentioned that I thought it was a shame that such a productive, peace-loving and beautiful city as hers had been through such intense violence.

She replied that that ICE is essentially a terrorist organization. “They’ll grab some random protestor, throw him in a snowbank and publicly spit on him, just to show the crowd who’s in charge.”

Trump’s America.

“They’re gone now, but there’s no guarantee that they won’t come back,” she said.

One of the more bizarre aspects of life in America today is our government’s obsession with inserting itself into meaningless parts of our lives.

Why does the Pentagon have a list of religions it recognizes?

Who could possibly give a s*** as to which ones are on that list?

I’m happy to report that I don’t know a single person who would conclude, beyond a reasonable doubt, that “86 45” is a suggestion that Trump should be assassinated.
