As usual, Fox News and its viewers have a somewhat twisted way of looking at the world. A few comments:

Why poll people on their perceptions of what groceries cost? The price of groceries in the United States either is or is not rising, quite independently of how people respond in surveys.

The truth is that inflation is running at around 3%, which is not horrible, regardless of who claims otherwise.

Honest and intelligent people do not blame Trump for rises in prices. However, they are appalled about his pitiful lying, and about his lack of interest in the issues that underlie this and everything else that is destroying the lives of so many Americans.

I know there are people hoping to see human civilization destroy itself, to welcome in the apocalypse as forecast in the book of Revelation. In fact, one of my co-coaches in the days our kids played soccer had this precise belief.

When I explained that my life’s work was to halt the destruction of human society, he chastised me: “Oh no Craig! The sooner life on Earth comes to an end, the sooner Christ will return to summon us all to Heaven!”

I wasn’t impressed with his thinking.
