Alliant Energy has completed construction on its 200 MW Grant County Solar Project, located in Potosi, Wis.
The project is the culmination of Alliant Energy’s multi-phase buildout of 12 utility-scale solar projects in the state totaling 1,089 MW. Encompassing 1,400 acres, the project site holds 430,000 solar panels and 350 acres of native pollinator habitat.
“The successful completion of the Grant County Solar Project is a milestone achievement on our journey toward a cleaner, more reliable and cost-effective energy future,” says Lisa Barton, president and CEO of Alliant Energy.
“Investing in a diverse energy mix is just one way we add value for customers while sustaining the economic and environmental health of the communities we serve. Together, with our customers, local communities and construction partners, we are making Wisconsin’s energy future brighter than ever.”
Alliant Energy contracted with a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources to construct the project, which began in 2022.

The vast majority of Americans are thrilled that the midterms brought us the “blue tsunami,” but there are a couple of things that don’t really add up. You may have noticed that:
The U.S. wants a random alcoholic Fox News “journalist’s” head on the plate for having orchestrated the war in Iran, when all he was doing was pursuing his loyalty to Donald Trump, the man who started this asinine and grossly illegal war.
There seems to be no effort to cause Trump, who tried to violently overthrow the U.S. federal government, to face accountability for his treasonous acts.
What’s up with the media? Is there a concerted effort to avoid the facts? What’s the problem with honesty, and telling Americans the truth? Isn’t this the clearest instance of gaslighting in our history? Are we now trying to pretend that Trump never existed?
If such a landslide victory against a would-be autocrat had happened anywhere else on Earth, that traitor would be in prison now, in most cases facing execution.
I was hoping, now that we have midterms behind us, that the morons trying to convince voters that the U.S. is a socialist/communist country would come up with a new package of s*** to spread around.
The country with the highest percentage of ultra-high net worth individuals? Norway.
