Re: Trump’s post at left, economic analyst Robert Rapier writes:

He already predicted in 2020: “If Biden is elected, the stock market will crash and your 401k will be zero.”

Now that the stock market is at a record high, he says it’s because people expect him to win. That’s not how the stock market works. It’s at a record high because economic indicators are strongly improving. He either doesn’t understand how the market works, or he does and doesn’t think you will know he’s lying.

What we’ve learned about Trump throughout is tenure in politics and the 30K+ lies he told in office is that he has no shame. He’s willing to swear to something that a 8-year-old kid would reject as BS.

That said, he’s at the end of his rope; the evidence of his guilt in the 91 felony counts he faces, especially the testimony of dozens, maybe hundreds of eyewitnesses, is about to crush his political viability like a grape.

Maybe, as they say, “Hell has a special place reserved in it” for people like Thom Tillis, Republican Senator from North Carolina, who enabled Trump to rape and destroy the United States.

That was until it became clear to Tillis that he could jump ship, write a scathing book about the president, get all over mainstream news promoting it, and go on to enjoy another chapter of political success.

That we Americans are so stupid that we accept this blatant hypocrisy and criminality is sad proof that we’re not the people we were 20 years ago. Maybe what many people are saying are correct: we deserved what we got.

Here’s a short video from Elle Cordova that reminds us that science is something of a rarity in human history.

The great tyrants of history have done their best to cause the people they ruled to reject science, simply to ensure the masses are ignorant, terrified, superstitious, and thus easily controlled.

The current political administration is particularly engrossed in the rejection of science. I wonder why.
