From Thies Beckers, aka the “Atomic Jedi”:
Lately in the Netherlands the anti-nukes have been using the “nuclear waste-heat causes climate change” canard.
I wanted to know how much this was compared to the influence of carbon dioxide on the whole deal. And turns out, waste-heat is insignificant on a global scale. There are some local effects which should be considered, but generally, the benefits of having zero-carbon power vastly outweighs the negatives.

Thanks, Thies. I had not heard this argument, but it doesn’t surprise me to run across garbage like this.

MAGA and its Magnetic Attraction for Trump
If you’re a racist moron who’s desperate to punish blacks, immigrants, Muslims, LGBTQs, as well as intelligent, kind people, you can force yourself to believe that constant torrent of lies that come out of Trump’s mouth.
You go online our turn on the television, not to learn something, but go shopping for ideas that support the hateful crap that’s already in your mind.

Bladeless Wind Turbines?
Wind turbines work by extracting some of the kinetic energy from moving air and transferring it to the blades that move in a circle.
No moving parts means no kinetic energy.
Sorry.

Geothermal in Iceland
Iceland is lucky enough to have incredible geothermal resources. And while it’s not alone in that regard, most parts of the world require drilling through some of the toughest rock on the planet.
That’s the reason that solar and wind have come to dominate the landscape of renewables; their costs have plummeted in recent years, making things like geothermal noncompetitive in most regions.
