SolarBank has partnered with TriMac Engineering to develop 10 MW of community solar in Enon, Nova Scotia, as well as on projects in Sydney, Halifax and Annapolis, Nova Scotia with 7 MW capacity apiece.
The projects, owned by AI Renewable Fund, are being developed under a community solar program announced by the Nova Scotia government last month.
TriMac and SolarBank are expected to apply for a community solar program contract from the province by July. If approved, construction is slated to commence next year.
New gardens under the Community Solar Program are expected to be operational by 2026.

Here’s an idea:
Give all descendants of slaves free college, with stipends, like they do in northern Europe.
Within a generation, we’ll have millions of young, highly educated black people, contributing to the work force at much higher levels than they are today.
We all admit that the MAGA base is composed of the most ignorant of Americans, but one has to think that even these people are losing their patience with Trump and the onslaught of catastrophes he’s bringing to the United States.
It’s hard to think of a bad trait that Trump doesn’t manifest.
He certainly has pettiness and vindictiveness nailed.
