As loathsome as these people are, they aren’t interested in reinstating slavery. Yet what the MAGA crowd would like to see is a return to the mid-20th Century in terms of race relations.

What the Trump base wants is essentially apartheid, or de facto segregation at the very least.

Oh sure. If you’re Trump, Hegseth is the perfect leader of the Pentagon. He’s lawless, stupid, cruel, misogynistic, and racist. No one could possibly match Trump’s values with any greater precision.
We won’t know how much damage Trump has done to our county, its people, the world in general, until Trump leaves office.
That’s just one more good reason to make this happen soon.
