The point of the meme here, of course, is that the electrification of transportation (and everything else) is going to run into temporary roadblocks. Will there be enough lithium? Will EV battery recycling become feasible? Will the ubiquity of fast charging stations come to satisfy demand? Will we rid ourselves of hydrocarbons from the grid-mix?
I would suggest that the answer to all these questions is yes, i.e., that we’re going to get there eventually, perhaps in a couple of decades. A more interesting question: Will all this happen in time to prevent our civilization’s experiencing devastating long-term environmental damage?
No one knows, though one thing is certain: there are forces at play that apply great economic pressure and make this anything but a level playing field. The entire fossil fuel industry is doing its damndest to stay in place indefinitely, regardless of how horrific the consequences may be to humanity, and to all life forms here on Earth.

That’s right, Albertson’s, with annual revenues of more than $83 billion, has decided to inconvenience its customers, forcing them to wrap both of their arms around their grocery bags to get them into and out of their shopping carts, into and out of their cars, and finally into their homes.
The savings? From what I can learn from AI, the answer is somewhere around $0.12 each. If you’re interested, you can Google: “cost per 1000000 paper grocery bags.”
I understand that grocery stores operate on low margins, but if it were my decision to make, I wouldn’t be deliberately pissing off my customers who are spending $100 for a bag of my groceries in order to save 12 cents.
Yet Albertson’s isn’t unique; in fact, it’s everywhere you go. Look at your cell phone bill and your streaming services. Corporate greed is grinding you into the pavement while it relished in your misery.

What Krishnamurti says at left reminds us of the direction that essentially everything takes in human civilization. What once was pure eventually becomes adulterated and monetized.
The most egregious example of this is how the wealthiest human beings on Earth have decided to ruin the planet with carbon emissions–simply so they can make even more money.
It’s great to see the ongoing protests against the criminality of the Trump administration.
