JEA has finalized agreements for the development of three renewable energy solar facilities within its Jacksonville, Fla. service territory, with a total available output of 200 MW.
“These solar energy facilities are an investment in sustainability and reduced emissions for our community for generations to come,” says JEA’s Vickie Cavey. “This is a crucial step in helping us meet our clean energy goals.”
Florida Renewable Partners (FRP) will build, own, and operate the facilities. It plans to lease the land on which the facilities will be built from JEA and sell the energy produced at the solar facilities to JEA through 35-year PPAs.
FRP plans to begin permitting the solar sites later this year. The projects are expected to be operational by 2026.

We baby boomers remember when the two dominant political parties were essentially indistinguishable. Eisenhower, a Republican, stood for strong Social Security, limited military, unemployment insurance, and a strong minimum wage.
What does today’s GOP champion? Cutting off all assistance for the poor, tax cuts of billionaires, slashing into Social Security (the money you and I earned) and starting a senseless and illegal war.

My only response to what he says at left is that you are, in fact, a leftist, whether you accept that or not. Anyone who says that he belongs to “Humanity and Earth” is a leftist by definition, just like anyone who wears the t-shirt below.
This is kind of like saying, “I am neither a Christian nor an atheist, but I believe in God and I accept His son Jesus Christ as my savior.” Sorry, that makes you a Christian.
