The message at left is that we live among people who believe that every U.S. citizen should be armed at all times. Every teacher, real estate agent, pastry chef, little old lady, and perhaps even our kids themselves, so often murdered by lunatics with assault rifles.
I can hear the Lt. Colonel saying, “The only thing that will stop a psychotic killer with an AR-15 in a schoolroom is a six-year-old with a gun.”
Seriously, there is an important fact here: each year, the United States has 78% of the world’s mass shootings; the other 22% are the aggregate of the other 200+ nations of the world.
Are more guns the answer?
I get a call every week or so from someone working for a start-up in oil exploration, hoping that I’ll invest. I guess my name and cell number got collected somehow from various online searches I’ve made.
I’m always quick to explain, “Oh, sorry, I don’t support wrecking the planet, even if I can profit from it. Neither should you. Bye now.”
I wish this were true, but most of these people don’t have passports, and many of them can’t afford to bus ticket to a neighboring county in West Virginia, Alabama, etc.

To the reader who sent me this: I’m with you, except that I occasionally turn on Fox News so as to understand what these people are feeding to their audience of hateful morons.
