Due to what it says is rising interest in community and rooftop solar in its northern Illinois region, ComEd has updated its hosting capacity map for solar developers to help streamline the process and meet demand.

Last month, ComEd says it received 2,250 new applications to interconnect with its electric system, bringing the total applications received this year to 21,952.

The 1,976 Distributed Energy Resource (DER) systems that ComEd completed in October represented 42 MW of DER generation capacity. There are 1,160 MW of DER interconnected to the ComEd system, including 460 MW from residential solar systems, 285 MW from community solar and 345 MW from commercial systems. This volume places a priority on providing solar developers access to current hosting capacity data, which is used to estimate the amount of DER that can be accommodated without major upgrades to the ComEd distribution system.

ComEd’s hosting capacity maps provide monthly estimates for distribution circuits at 34 kV and below that are sourced by a ComEd substation. The company also publishes hosting capacity maps for battery energy storage and for electric vehicle load, updated 20 times a year.

“Our updated hosting capacity map provides developers every month with near real-time information about solar projects in the development queue, which is key to identifying the best available location to interconnect their project to our grid,” says Mark Baranek, senior vice president of Technical Services, ComEd.

Banning Sharia Law in the U.S.

Published

The MAGA base is on fire about Trump’s quest to ban Sharia law.  It would take any of them about 15 seconds, if they wished to look into this, to learn that Sharia law has no official legal status or authority in the United States, because the U.S. Constitution and secular laws always come first.
  • No Authority: American courts do not follow or enforce Sharia law.
  • Religious Freedom: Muslims in the U.S. follow Sharia as a personal and moral guide for daily worship and life, just as people of other faiths follow their own religious rules.
  • Constitutional Limits: Religious practices cannot break federal or state laws.

For a moment, think about an American judge’s sentencing a thief to have his hand amputated, or having an adulteress stoned to death.

American Farmers Are Singing a Different Tune

Published

The reason that the MAGA base supports Trump never was rooted in personal gain, whether that meant income, healthcare, or God knows, education.  Yes, they got shafted by the rising cost of living, but they never suffering anything like what’s happening the American farmer.

From AI:

Financial Losses and Debt
  • Deepening Deficits: The American Farm Bureau Federation projects that crop farmers will lose roughly $31 billion and face another $32 billion in losses.
  • Negative Returns: Major row crops like corn, soybeans, wheat, and cotton are operating well below breakeven.
  • Rising Debt: Total farm debt has climbed to record highs near $560 billion, straining producers who also face high interest rates and inflation for seeds, fuel, and fertilizer.
Trade Wars and Tariffs
  • Export Disruptions: Retaliatory tariffs from trading partners like China have severely cut into U.S. soybean and corn exports.
  • Beef and Rancher Backlash: Administration moves to temporarily lift tariffs on foreign beef imports to lower grocery store prices have angered domestic ranchers and farm bureaus who fear being undercut during a historic low in cattle inventory.

Capping all this off is Trump’s allowing hundreds of millions of pounds of ground beef to be imported with zero tariffs.

The Top People in the U.S. Military Oppose Trump on All Major Issues

Trump’s first term didn’t make him any friends with U.S. generals and admirals.   He followed up his referring to our soldiers as “suckers” and “losers” with pardoning someone who had been convicted in military court of a war-crime.

Yet it is his second term that has really propelled him into infamy.  Here we have:

Iran, Venezuela, deployments of National Guard troops in Democratic-led cities, destroying America’s confidence in democracy by repeating the lie that the 2020 election was rigged, renaming the Department of Defense and appointing an alcoholic Fox News host to run it, threatening to invade Greenland and Canada, the destruction of relations with our historic allies, his usurpation of power delegation to the Constitution to congress, appointing his personal attorney to the Department of Justice, ignoring the national security implications that accompany climate change, damaging America’s business interests with huge tariffs, and buddying up to world tyrants like Putin and Kim Jong Un.
