ACORE Statement on Rep. Casten and Rep. Levin’s Introduction of the CETA Act

Statement From Jose Zayas, Executive Vice President of Policy and Programs at the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE):

“A significant buildout of the nation’s transmission system is imperative to achieving a clean energy grid that will provide emissions reductions, reliability and resilience improvements, and cost savings.

“ACORE strongly supports the Clean Electricity and Transmission Acceleration (CETA) Act for its comprehensive approach to tackling the myriad of barriers to building a 21st century Macro Grid. The CETA Act offers much-needed solutions to enhance interregional transmission planning, facilitate cost allocation, streamline transmission permitting, establish a minimum transfer requirement, reform participant funding, and provide a standalone transmission investment tax credit.

“We applaud Representatives Casten and Levin for their leadership and look forward to working with members of Congress to advance this important and comprehensive legislation.”

We Deserve Exactly What We’re Getting

It’s easy to blame Trump for his lies and criminality.

It’s harder to accept the fact that many of the people of the United States are willing believe essentially anything, regardless of how preposterous, that comes out of the president’s mouth.

Will the Democrats Destroy the United States?

Published

on

The Republicans seem to have coalesced around the anti-communism/socialism narrative, setting aside all other messaging re: the economy, affordable groceries and gasoline, jobs, allowing Iran to build a nuclear weapon, etc.

We’ll have to wait and see how this plays out.

In a nation that has, to a large degree, lost its ability to think, it’s possible that voters, especially the most unintelligent among them, can be convinced that the Democrats are leading the United States in the direction of China, North Korea, or the former Soviet Union.

Plant-Based Meat Takes Unusual Marketing Tack

I encourage readers to check out this tongue-in-cheek ad for plant-based meat.

There is a maxim in marketing warning against “promoting the enemy line,” this is so clever, I can see where it could be quite effective.
