The most common theory, and I accept it, is that yes, Trump is a terrible person, but so are about one-third of American voters, and that Trump gives them permission to publicly display their characteristics that are just as vile as those of the president himself.
Authoritarianism.
It concerned our Founding Fathers deeply, and they did everything they could to prevent it. But they never foresaw that America would be hit with the perfect storm of ignorance, corruption, and of course, Donald Trump.
What disgusts Americans most is that Rubio completely understands that Trump is profoundly demented, both mentally and morally.
He’s hoping that the United States remains as ignorant and hateful as it is now for a few more years, so that he can become president.
Absolutely revolting.
I’m ready to live in a country with zero hateful morons, but that’s never going to happen.
I could move to any of dozens of nations that are less ignorant, but I’m too old and too connected to friends and family.
