Eaglesledge Energy has provided an update on the development of its Saskatchewan-based Belle Plaine Clean-Tech Energy Refinery & Solar Facility.
The company’s campaign to move the project through the Saskatchewan Environment Ministry’s permitting-and-approval channels continued when its leaders hosted their first open house in the Rural Municipality of Pense No. 160.
Members of the community, First Nations business representatives, and local and provincial government stakeholders attended the open house at the Pense Town Hall to learn more about the boutique-style clean-fuels refinery.
“The Project will revolutionize the energy landscape and redefine what it means to be a responsible energy provider in the 21st century,” says Eaglesledge Energy CEO and chairman Boris Weiss.
The refinery is slated to process 30,000 barrels per stream day of low-sulphur light crude oil, as well as to feature a 125 MW solar facility and railyard.

Imagine you’re a white person living in the Deep South, and you come across these lyrics: “Alabama, you have the rest of the union to help you along. What’s going wrong?”
How large is your appetite for this man’s music?
Here’s another reminder of how far to the extreme low brow right the American conservative movement has swung.
The only political experience Mike Lindell has comes from his having eagerly accepted Trump’s lie that the 2020 election was rigged with massive voter fraud, for which there is exactly zero evidence.
As a consequence, Lindell is facing multiple lawsuits, including a June 2025 verdict ordering him to pay $2.3 million to a former Dominion Voting Systems employee for defamation. He also faces lawsuits from Smartmatic for defamation and a suit over a $3 million unpaid loan.
That’s it, folks. No experiencing running a small town in Alabama, let alone a state full of well-educated progressives in which Trump lost to Kamala Harris by a full 4% in 2024.
