I hate to say something so callous, but maybe when you choose to send your kid to school in state that ranks 49th out of 50, you deserve exactly what you get.
Yes, public high school students in Oklahoma are learning that the 2020 presidential election was stolen by the Democrats who orchestrated widespread voter fraud, a notion that was rejected by all 60+ courts that reviewed the evidence.
Personally, I find this abhorrent, which is I would just as soon throw my kids into a lion’s cage than subject them to this garbage.
I feel the same way about teaching creationism as astrophysics and biology, and all the other ultra-right-wing assaults on science and truth more generally.
But that’s just me.
When You Choose to Educate Your Kid in Oklahoma, You Run a Considerable Risk
What Obama says at left is a reminder that life in on Earth is tough enough without the planet’s most nation being led by a criminal sociopath.
As previously mentioned, it’s good to see the rising popularity of astrophysicist Dr. Brian Cox.
In this video, he explains that life on Earth is about 4 billion years old, but for the first 3 billion, there was nothing more complicated than single celled organisms. He suggests that this may be the reason that civilizations are rare in the universe, i.e., that they’re only around for the blink of an eye in terms of geologic time.
To me, it also makes one wonder why it took God 3 billion years to create the first multicelled form of life.
What do I think of it? It’s the 2026 Republican narrative, and I’m sure it resonates with the very bottom of the barrel in terms of IQ.
We live among tens of millions of people who can’t distinguish between China and Denmark, many of whom couldn’t find these countries on a map.
The problem they’re going to run into, however, is raw numbers. Trump’s approval rating is about 30%, and it continues to fall as the war in Iran goes on, the working class can’t afford necessities, his dementia continues to worsen.
